A 49-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of exposure.

The arrest comes after reports of a man who appeared to be pretending to have a seizure in Linear Park, Calcot.

The man ran away after being approached by a concerned woman who offered to call an ambulance.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said the incident happened between 6.20pm and 7.10pm on Thursday September 10 and at 3.40pm and 6pm on Sunday, September 13.

The man was described as white, aged in his late forties, approximately 5ft 4ins tall, of stocky build and was wearing a dark baseball cap and had a rucksack on his back.

Investigating officers who spoke to the offender are being asked to contact police.

Police Constable Colin Fearn, said: “We have had a number of reports about a man acting suspiciously in the Linear Park area. We have also had reports of an exposure, and I would like to hear from any witnesses or victims as soon as possible.

“The park is popular with dog walkers and as the offences took place in daylight I am sure that there would have been people who saw what happened.

“I am aware that there are concerns among local residents and I would like to reassure people that we are conducting a thorough investigation to establish exactly what happened.

A man aged 49 years from Newbury has been bailed until October 8 pending further enquiries.
