A MAN has been sentenced to four years for drug possession with intent to supply.
Craig Ferrier, 37, of Gatcome Close in Calcot, was arrested on May 24 after throwing away a small package after being told by staff in Zeus nightclub that he was going to be searched.
The bag contained cocaine and there was evidence of Ferrier's intent to supply the Class A drug on his phone.
He was on Friday found guilty of one count of drug possession with intent to supply by a unanimous jury following a four day trial at Reading Crown Court.
DC Alastair Bagshaw, of Reading CID, said: “Ferrier had no regard for the well-being of others and the impact that drugs can have on peoples’ lives.
"I hope that this conviction and sentence will make it clear to anyone who is dealing, or considering dealing, any kind of drug that they risk a significant prison sentence for their activities.”
