CAVERSHAM Heath Golf Club hosts a charity Christmas gift fair on Thursday, November 12, from 10am-4pm.

The free-entry event promises a wide variety of stalls including festive decoration and display items, hand-crafted jewellery and textiles, glassware, ceramics, art, accessories, Phoenix Trading cards and Usborne books.

The fair will raise money for two charities linked to Royal Berkshire Hospital.

The Chazey Heath club's ladies' captain and organiser, Sheila Evans, said: "The Buscot Babies Fund raises money for vital equipment for sick and pre-term babies on the Buscot Ward.

"The Dingley Wish Fund aims to enhance life for children who attend the Dingley Centre, a specialist outpatient service for children with disabilities.

"The fund helps parents buy equipment that can make all the difference to a child's ability to communicate or to their mobility - for example a specially adapted bike.

"Every pound raised makes a difference so we're really hoping for a great turnout for the Christmas fair."
