A GANG of robbers entered a woman's house and stole her diamond tooth cap, before taking her money out of an ATM machine.

The thugs were armed with pieces of wood as they carried out the offence.

The robbers stole items belonging to a woman in her fifties, including a white gold tooth cap which is encrusted with diamonds on the front.

They also stole clothes, jewellery, cash, and the woman's handbag during the raid, which took place on Wednesday January 17 at around 7.30pm.

A group of four men were seen fleeing the scene in a vehicle, and one of the men was seen withdrawing cash using the victim's debit card at the Co-Op in Whitley Road, Reading.

A 21-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to supply, and has been released under investigation.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Amy-Jane Rogers, based at Reading Police Station, said: “We would urge anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously, or with information in relation to the stolen property, to call us as a matter of urgency via our enquiry centre on 101 quoting reference 43180017408. I would also urge anyone using the cashpoint at Co-Op around this time to come forward.”
