A GROUP of former Reading FC coaches have set up a new sports injury and performance centre.

Dan Buchanan and Luke Anthony re-joined forces with Tristan Baker, Ed Clark and Petra Minnott to create GoPerform.

The state-of-the-art fitness centre has been backed by several Premier League stars and features elite-level equipment and technology.

Former Royals striker Shane Long ,said: "I worked with this team at Reading FC and I would trust them with any injury or niggle.

“I think GoPerform will be great for the town and I really like how it will help pros - and amateur sportspeople - reach their goals.”

England international and Chelsea FC defender Gary Cahill, added: "They have the same equipment, staff and knowledge as the biggest football teams in the UK so I know that local clubs, athletes and pros across a variety of sports will get access to amazing treatment.

“Premier League footballers, like me, could be assigned here for treatment and the medical teams at our clubs would be more than happy for us to work here.”

The new site was officially launched on Wednesday, December 6 and staff were joined by former Reading FC stars Adam Federici and Jobi McAnuff.

Mr Buchanan added: "We've brought together a friendly, expert multi-disciplinary team who will work hard to deliver the best possible outcome for every individual.

“We can’t wait to help local people get back to full fitness and reach their full physical potential – it’s what we’re passionate about."
