YOUNGSTERS from a West Berkshire nursery dressed in special robes for a graduation ceremony.
Families were invited to the Jubliee Day Nursery in Padworth to watch the event.
A special picnic was organised for the guests whilst the graduates enjoyed games and activites before being presented with a host of goodies including a scroll.
Lesley Thompson, Senior Nursery Manager at Jubille Gems Day Nursery said: "It was incredibly emotional for everyone as our Pre-school children prepare to leave us. Every day is different at Jubilee with a big emphasis
on child-led learning.
"Talking about pirates can lead to making eye patches, swords, treasure maps and a trip to the woods to hunt for the treasure chest; role-play on the pirate ship leads to pirates walking the plank to improve balancing skills, team work, imagination and more.
“The children are extremely resilient and well prepared for their move to school."
