TWO olden but golden dogs are desperately seeking new homes.

Jett, a Labrador Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross and his best friend, Roxy the Staffie, were sadly handed over to a rehoming centre because their former owner had to move away.

But people visiting Dogs Trust Newbury have overlooked the 'pawsome' pair, who have a combined human age of 133 years, because of how old they are.

Amy Dean, a home from home coordinator, said: “We would love to see Jett and Roxy rehomed together so they can enjoy their twilight years with a loving family.

"Unfortunately, mature dogs tend to get overlooked in favour of younger dogs; however these adorable canines still have a lot of love and life to give.

"We haven’t had anyone express any interest in them which is such a shame as they’re both really active and playful – they’re such a fantastic couple.”

Having lived together most of their lives, Jett and Roxy are struggling to settle into life in a kennel.

The furry friends continue to be active and playful and have both responded well to training.

Roxy, aged nine, loves affection and playing while Jett, 10, enjoys lounging around and relaxing.
