A RUNNER has pledged to run a marathon to help support Berkshire's oldest wheelchair basketball club.
Michelle Bailey will take to the streets of Paris on April 9 as she tries to raise £500 for the Thames Valley Kings.
She said: "Small charities funding often overlooked and I'm hugely impressed by the time the volunteers put in to the club alongside their full time jobs and also by what they do and what they have achieved with such little support.
"I hope that by running for them I can help raise their profile and some much needed funds."
She has been training alongside her sister Estelle and met with the wheelchair basketball club who wished her well ahead of the 26 mile race.
Thames Valley Kings organise competitive matches for children and adults across four different age groups.
