A MAN in his twenties has died after falling from a bridge onto the Inner Distribution Road (IDR) in Reading town centre last night.
Officers from Thames Valley Police were called at 8.49pm to the IDR near the Castle Hill/Castle Street junction to reports from motorists that a man had fallen onto the carriageway.
South Central Ambulance Service also sent two senior paramedics, a rapid response vehicle and a standard ambulance to the incident.
The man, who is from the Reading area, was declared deceased at the scene and his death is not being treated as suspicious. The matter is being prepared to be handed over to the coroner.
The IDR was closed for about two hours while the emergency services dealt with the fatality.
