CHILDREN at a primary school gave a right royal welcome when Prince Harry visited their classroom.

The prince visited Lambs Lane Primary School in Spencers Wood, just eight miles from Ludgrove, the school he went to.

He was invited to the Back Lane school as part of Sky's Game Changers children sports programme.

The episode focussed on the Invictus Games with three athletes who will be competing visiting the school.

Prince Harry is president of the Invictus Games' organising committee.

Pupils were given the chance to ask questions with one cheeky child asking if Harry would ever be king.

Head teacher Sharon Finn said: "He laughed and said 'You will probably be delighted to hear I'm unlikely to be king.'

"He was part of an interview with three of the Invictus athletes then held a question and answer session with the children.

"He went out to the playground with the children. He was so relaxed and brilliant with the children high fiving them.

"We were very lucky to be contacted by Sky, partly because we have a resource for children with complex needs.

"What was lovely was he talked to the children about aspiration and whatever their difficulties are they can overcome them."
