Fortunately for the homeowners, the offender couldn’t gain access and nothing was stolen.

A few days later, on Monday, May 3, a thief forced open a garage door and stole a bicycle from a property on Cardinal Close at an unknown time of 9pm and 7am.

And on the same evening, between midnight and 7am, a thief gained entry to an unlocked shed at a home on Blenheim Road.

They were able to get away with garden equipment.
