THE total number of lab-confirmed UK cases of Covid-19 now stands at 284,868.
According to the latest government figures, 1,557 more cases were diagnosed in the 24 hours leading up to 9am today (June 6)
The total number of deaths in the UK stands at 40,465, as of 5pm on June 5, with 357 additional deaths announced in the latest government release.
In Berkshire, there are now a total of 2,427 confirmed cases.
This is broken down as follows:
- Reading - 588
- West Berkshire - 380
- Bracknell - 258
- Wokingham - 450
- Windsor and Maidenhead - 298
- Slough - 453
The rate of infection in the county is as follows:
- Reading - 360.3
- West Berkshire - 239.7
- Bracknell - 212
- Wokingham - 267.9
- Windsor and Maidenhead - 197.5
- Slough - 303.8
The national average is 275.6.
