HUNDREDS of people headed over to Sulhamstead on Saturday for the force's annual community open day.
Thames Valley Police (TVP) celebrated turning 50 by welcoming the public to the training centre.
Guests were given a behind-the-scenes look at how officers prepare for being on the frontline.
As well as a number of demonstrations, there were a variety of stalls promoting the different areas of policing and the work TVP has done over the last 50 years.
This year, donations from the public will go towards Mind Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, and the Police Dependants Trust - a charity which provides practical, emotional and financial support for to serving and former police officers and staff who have suffered harm as a result of their policing role.
