A FLOOD in a top floor flat caused ‘significant damage’ and sent water gushing into neighbouring homes in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
Firefighters were called to Cross Street, Reading, shortly after 4am after neighbours reported a major leak.
When they arrived, a they found a flooded apartment on the top floor which had caused water to drip into properties underneath.
A spokesman for Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “There was quite a lot of water damage.
“Unfortunately it was the flat at the top of the building which had flooded so the water went into the three flats below.”
