A SECONDARY school is celebrating after receiving gold status for the fifth consecutive year.
Theale Green School impressed the Youth Sports Trust once again for its outstanding commitment to sport.
The award is part of the School Games Mark and recognises the success of the PE department’s excellence in developing sporting opportunities for all children.
Tony Blinco, head of the department, said: “We are thrilled that the PE Department has been awarded gold status. for a fifth year.
"It is an amazing achievement and accolade, which recognises our huge commitment in offering students excellent sporting opportunities.”
The awards scheme launched in 2012 and rewards schools for their commitment to the development of competition across the wider community.
