TRAFFIC came to a standstill while police dealt with a fear for welfare incident on a bridge over the M4.
Officers rushed to the scene earlier this afternoon following reports of a person in danger.
Traffic was stopped and several lanes were blocked, causing queues from near Junction 10 back to the A329m.
The incident has since been resolved.
A police spokesman said: "We were dealing with fear for welfare on an overbridge near to Junction 10 of the M4.
"This has now been safely resolved and roads have been re-opened."
