A BLAZE broke out at a town centre restaurant in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
Firefighters were called to Cote Brasserie at Riverside, The Oracle, shortly before 4.30am.
By the time they arrived, quick-thinking security guards had doused the flames with water.
However, the embers had spread to the wall cavity and firefighters had to dismantle parts of the wall to prevent the fire from spreading.
Crews from Caversham Road, Dee Road and Wokingham Road were all in attendance.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
