THIS is the adorable pooch who has struggled to find a loving family because of her quirky looks.

Canine carers were instantly won over by Blu's eye-catching appearance, particularly because of her multi-coloured eyes.

Staff at Dogs Trust Newbury fear she has been overlooked because the terrier has one brown eye and one blue eye.

Nicki Barrow, rehoming centre manager, said: “Blu is a truly wonderful dog with a fabulous little character so we can’t understand why she hasn’t found a forever home yet. She clearly doesn’t let her looks bother her as she can often be seen playing in the fields with a beaming smile.

“Blu is a typical fun terrier; she loves to run and chase so her new home will need active owners who enjoy being kept on their toes and a secure garden with high fencing as she has been known to be a bit of an escape artist.

"She’s very affectionate once she knows you and enjoys doggy company too, so her perfect home would have a four-legged friend to keep her company.

"She loves to play as much as she loves to snooze in the sun and keeps us entertained with her huge grin so you can’t help but smile when you’re with her. In the right home with someone who can offer her time and love, she will thrive.”

Blu can live with teenagers over the age of 16 and will need her new owners to visit the centre several times to get to know her.
