A CLUB celebrated a double victory at the annual Roc Newbury 10km race after claiming the men's and women's titles.
Callum O’Neill and Jessica Franklin from Newbury Athletic Club claimed gold in their respective categories, beating hundreds of others runners on Sunday.
Huge crowds came out in full force to cheer on the 840 men, women and children who took part.
It was third time lucky for O'Neill, who had previously finished fourth and third in previous years.
Matt Franklin, Roc Technologies, said: “I feel quite overwhelmed at what I have seen today.
"It has been a great atmosphere and community spirit and it has been quite moving to see the young wheelchair and assisted competitors complete the race.
"We are delighted with the turnout and it has been very special to see my sister win the women’s race.”
The races were officially started by Carol Jackson-Doerge, the chair of West Berkshire Council, and Margo Payne, mayor of Newbury.
