A DEER had to be rescued by fire crews after becoming trapped near a town centre car park.
Crews from Wokingham Road fire station were called to Bridge Street at 5.13pm on Tuesday (22) afternoon following reports that a deer was trapped close to the Holy Brook car park.
An animal rescue unit from Caversham Road were also called to assist in releasing the deer, which took around an hour.
