MEGHAN Markle has confirmed that her father Thomas will NOT be attending her wedding to Prince Harry this Saturday.
In a statement released by Kensington Palace this morning (Thursday) Ms Markle confirmed that her father would not be attending the nuptials at St George's Chapel, Windsor.
Mr Markle had been expected to walk his daughter down the aisle, but after a week of speculation and scandal surrounding allegedly staged paparazzi photos and rumours that he is to undergo heart surgery, his absence has been confirmed.
In the statement, Ms Markle said she and Harry are looking forward to sharing their wedding day with the world.
The statement from Ms Markle read: "Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding. I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health.
"I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support. Please know how much Harry and I look forward to sharing our special day with you on Saturday."
