A FREE event where men could check whether they need further tests on their prostate has proved incredibly popular today (Saturday).
The Lions Club of Reading held the event at the Circle Hospital inviting all men over the age of 45 to come along for a simple blood test to determine whether they should see their GP for further examinations.
The group took 2,300 kits along to the event, but by 3.30pm they had completely run out.
We have no kits left at The Circle-We’ve taken 2300 tests today. Please don’t come to the Circle now. Royal Berkshire Hospital will do your blood test Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday next week. Apologies to everyone who couldn’t have a test today. pic.twitter.com/m0HpSYZ4jM
