TALENTED young singers have taken home gold for the second year in a row in the Mayor's annual choir competition.
The Glee Club from St. Martin's Catholic Primary won the junior category of Let's Sing after a knockout performance at The Hexagon.
Judges praised the soloists and overall performance of the choir and also mentioned the enthusiasm and commitment of the performances in their feedback.
The choir group received an engraved glass trophy, which will be taking pride of place at the school. They have also been invited to sing at the Children's Festival in Forbury Gardens on May 12.
St Martin's Glee Club has grown from eight to 42 singers, with a good mixture of boys and girls meeting on a regular basis to rehearse and perform across the town.
