A GROUP of teenagers attacked and stabbed a man outside a Subway sandwich store in a late night brawl.
On Sunday April 1 at 9.25pm, a fight broke out between a group of men and a group of teenage boys, leaving a man in his 30s in hospital with serious injuries.
It was the second time in the space of a week that a group of teenagers were involved in a stabbing, after a man was kicked to the ground and threatened with a knife in a park in Earley.
The victim in this case received a stab wound to his lower back and was later discharged from hospital.
The incident occurred outside the Subway store on the junction of Wokingham Road and Crescent Road.
The suspects are a group of four or five males between the age of 15 and 18, all of slim build and possibly eastern European origin.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Yong Chung, of Force CID, said: "This was a very serious incident where a man received a serious stab wound to his back.
"It is possible that the suspects are from the Albanian community, and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who knows any of the males that were involved in the fight to call the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 43180098069."
