POLICE have appealed for the owner of a missing wedding ring to come forward.
The precious piece of jewellery was found on Saturday on Northbrook Street in Newbury at around 9pm.
The ring, which was found outside Blacks, is inscribed with 'Mo & Maria 24-02-1962'.
PC Aaron Trafford, of Newbury police station, said: “If that is a wedding date, it is likely that the ring belongs to an elderly couple.
“We would love to be able to reunite the owner with it and are hoping that the local community can help us find them.”
If the item belongs to you, bring proof of ownership to Newbury Police Station, quoting quoting 'FA161/18'.
