A TRANSPORT officer has been cleared of obstructing a colleague by magistrates.
Chief Inspector Chris Maddox, from Lower Earley, was arrested in Reading on March 13 in connection with disorderly conduct.
An investigation, carried out by British Transport Police's Professional Standards Department, found the 42-year-old acted accordingly.
Maddox stood trial for obstructing a police constable in the execution of his or her duty at Reading Magistrates Court on Monday, January 8.
BTP will now conduct an assessment to identify if there were any breaches of the standards of professional behaviour.
A spokesman said: "Magistrates heard the evidence and concluded there was no case to answer.
"Now the Thames Valley Police case has been finalised, the BTP Professional Standards Department will conduct an assessment to identify if there were any breaches of the standards of professional behaviour."
