A MAN who was struck by a train at Tilehurst Station died on Friday.
Emergency services were called to the Oxford Road station at around 5.50pm.
British Transport Police (BPT) and South Central Ambulance Service received reports of a man being hit by a train.
Thames Valley Police attended and it was later confirmed that a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and Berkshire Coroner's Office is due to receive a file on the incident in the coming days.
The man's family has been located and informed of his death.
The station was closed for several hours after the incident, resulting in delays for commuters.
