FESTIVE bikers braved the icy conditions to make sure that hundreds of presents were delivered in time for Christmas.
The 32nd annual Reading Toy Run had to be cancelled on Sunday after the town was hit by snow, but it did not stop a small team from making the journey to High Close School in Wokingham.
A convoy of more than 1,000 bikers were due to take part in the festive toy appeal in support of Barnado's, before the organiser Ben Spiller made the decision to cancel.
Volunteers packed a van with gifts for children and other donors followed close behind to the Wiltshire Road School.
The seven-mile journey from Amec Foster Wheeler in Shinfield regularly attracts a dedicated following of motorists from across the country.
Many were left disappointed when they discovered the event had been called-off, but Mr Spiller promised future events would be bigger and better to make up for this year.
