A CYCLIST was pushed to the floor before his attacker stole his bike in broad daylight.

The bike was taken at around 7.30am on December 5 when the victim was cycling along Tilehurst Road towards the town centre.

The Scott scale mountain bike - with a 29inch frame - is black, white and red in colour and is believed to be worth around £750.

The offender approached him and pushed him off his bike before cycling off with the victim's bike away from the town centre.

The victim was not injured as a result.

The offender was a man with a stocky build, wearing a black hooded top with the hood up and dark jeans.

The victim did not see the offender's face.

Designated investigator, Zara Appleby based in Reading, said: "We are appealing for information to assist our investigation.

"We would ask anyone who might have witnessed this incident to please call 101 quoting reference 43170361761".
