A manhunt is underway after a ‘drive-by shooting’ outside a pub in Reading.
At around 9pm on Thursday a ball bearing was fired from a car driving past the Bladebone Inn in Bladebone Court, Chapel Row.
The shot smashed the window and struck a man who was inside in the face.
The victim, a man aged in his thirties, was not injured during the incident however the ball bearing left a red mark on his face.
No description of the vehicle or offenders is currently available, police have confirmed.
Investigating officer, PC Stephen Hinds, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who saw this incident, or the vehicle and offenders involved, or anyone who has any information which could assist our investigation. If you have any details, please come forward.
"A man was struck by the ball bearing in the face during the incident. Thankfully he was not seriously injured however the consequences could have been much more serious."
