BARONESS Pidding talked to students about her role as a member of the House of Lords during a visit.
Reading College hosted the talk on December 1 and enjoyed the opportunity to grill the politician during a lively question and answer session.
The public services team arranged the visit through the 'Peers in Schools' outreach programme.
Shingi Hopkins, public services tutor said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to interact with someone who knows the parliamentary system inside out, as it can sometimes seem far removed from their daily lives.
“They have had a thorough insight into the workings of Westminster.”
The visit ended with a tour of the college by Paul Newman, the head of campus, and two of the students, Amandi Jayathilake and Max Maytum.
Mr Newman added: “We were thrilled to have Baroness Pidding here at the college to share her insights into the British legislative system. It was captivating for our students.”
