A MAN has been taken to safety by police after officers were called to a fear for welfare incident at Broad Street Mall.
The man could be seen sat on top of the building and officers sealed off the area to speak to him.
Police were able to successfully guide the man to safety shortly after 2pm.
A spokesman said: “Thames Valley Police officers were called today at 12.48pm following reports of a fear for welfare incident involving a man in Hosier Street, Reading.
“Officers attended the scene and a road closure has been put in place. Emergency services remain at the scene, and people are advised to avoid the area.”
