A BIKE THIEF has been sentenced following a string of offences.
Michael Howe, 30, was sentenced to five months in prison at Reading Magistrates Court on October 5.
Howe pleaded guilty to the three offences, which included theft from a shop in Bracknell the day before his sentencing.
He admitted to theft of a pedal cycle at Reading train station on August 29, as well as theft of a pedal cycle from Central Swimming Pool in Battle Street, Reading.
Sergeant Chris Fells, based at Reading station, said: “Bikes are a popular target for thieves and I am pleased that thanks to the work of BTP officers, a prolific bike thief is now behind bars.
"Officers regularly patrol Reading station and it is a CCTV rich environment, which makes it very hard for thieves like Howe to get away without being caught."
