A TEENAGER has been arrested on suspicion of assault following a brawl on Broad Street.

The victim, an 18-year-old man, was walking in the town centre with two friends at around 3am on August 18.

They were confronted by a group and one member decided to punch the man in the face.

He suffered a contusion to the face and is still attending regular appointments at the hospital.

A 15-year-old boy from Reading was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released under investigation.

Police have released an image of a man, who is believed to have vital information in connection with the incident.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Peter Cave of Force CID based at Reading police station, said: “We are urging anyone who recognises the man in this CCTV to contact police as we believe he may have vital information about the incident.
