NOMINATIONS for the Community Champion Awards are open this Monday.

West Berkshire Council wants to acknowledge and thank people within the district who go out of their way for the community. 

This is an opportunity for local people to nominate an individual or group who deserves recognition for their work in the community.

Nominees simply need to live within West Berkshire and fit one of the following categories:

The Pat Eastop MBE Junior Citizen of the Year Award (nominees must be 18 or under)

Volunteer of the Year Award

Community Group of the Year Award

Lifetime Achievement Award

Cllr Quentin Webb, Chairman of West Berkshire Council said: “Everybody knows someone who deserves recognition for a good deed. We’re asking everyone to please spread the word about the Awards. With the help of local people, we’re looking forward to receiving more nominations than ever before and to making this year’s Community Champion Awards the very best.”

The closing date for nominations is Friday, October 27.
