A MAN is currently in hospital with a serious leg injury after three masked men broke into his home late yesterday evening.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was attacked in his home on Bayford Drive in Calcot at around 10.45pm on Wednesday.

He remains in hospital following the brutal attack and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The offenders are described as black, and at the time of the incident they were all wearing black tracksuits and black hats.

All three men had their faces covered with masks.

Detective Sergeant Robert Hill, investigating officer from Maidenhead Force CID, said: “I understand that an incident such as this will cause concern to the local community, however, detectives are working to locate and apprehend the offenders.

"We are carrying out a thorough investigation into the circumstances of this incident and we would ask anyone with any information in relation to this incident to contact police immediately.

“We would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in Bayford Drive or the surrounding area.
