POLICE are appealing for help to trace a man with 'a large clown tatoo' in connection with a spate of burglaries in Tilehurst.

Daniel Richardson is being sought by Thames Valley Police after a number of homes were hit between June 2 and Sunday, June 18.

The 27-year-old of no fixed abode is believed to 6ft tall, with brown hair and eyes.

He has a distinctive large clown tattoo on his upper-left arm and is of an athletic build.

Members of the public have been warned not to approach him.

Richardson is known to frequent Tilehurst, including areas of Wantage and Waverley Road; Elvaston Way; Hardwick Road; Tay Road and Dee Road; Church End Lane; Grovelands and Water Road.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Katie Smith, based at Reading, said: “We are appealing for the public’s help in tracing Richardson.

“Members of the public should not approach Richardson, but please call Thames Valley Police on 999 quoting reference 689 (20/6/17) with any sightings or information about his whereabouts.”
