A 33-year-old appeared in court charged with defrauding victims at a major hotel over eight months.

Raseshkumar Shah worked at an international hotel in Reading and stands accused of one count of fraud by abuse of position and one count of concealing or transferring criminal property.

The charge claims the offences took place between January 20 2014 and August 8 the same year a the hotel.

Shah, of Kilnmead, Crawley, West Sussex, was arrested and charged on Thursday, June 15 this year.

He appeared at Reading Magistrates' Court the next day.

The case was handed to Reading Crown Court where Shah will appear on July 17.
