FOOTBALL fans travelling to Wembley for Reading's £170 million showdown with Huddersfield are being advised to book train tickets in advance of Monday.

Great Western Railway (GWR) will be running four additional trains to and from London Paddington to take Royals fans to London.

More than 38,000 Reading fans are expected to make the walk up Wembley Way on Bank Holiday Monday for the biggest match of the season to see if Jaap Stam's side can make a return to the Premier League after a four-year absence.

Supporters can book their train tickets online and should try to collect them before the day of the match to avoid excessive queuing at ticket machines and the ticket office.

Andrew Gallaugher, GWR Reading Station Manager, said:“This an exciting occasion for the town with Reading once again making it to Wembley, and we are delighted to transport fans into London for the match.

“Reading station will be extremely busy, and fans are advised to buy their tickets before the day.

“We wish the club the best for the day, and hope it memorable day for the fans.”
