A WOMAN was left with 'serious' injuries after she was attacked by a man.

She was taken to hospital where she remains, eleven days after the fight.

The two began to argue in Lorne Street at around 4.30am on Sunday, May 14.

A fight broke out and the woman, aged in her 30s, fell into the road.

She was rushed to the Royal Berkshire Hospital by an ambulance.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Marius York of Reading CID said: "We are appealing for witnesses or information to the incident, which has left a woman in hospital with very serious injuries.

"A thorough investigation is underway to establish the exact circumstances of what took place, and we would urge anyone who witnessed it to please come forward.
