A KNIFE point car jacking landed a man in hospital on Monday.

At around 11.30pm three men in a red Renault Clio approached a man sitting in his car on Kensington Road, Reading.

The men threatened their victim with a knife and assaulted him, before stealing his wallet and phone.

At the end of the attack the three men drove off in man's silver Vauxhall Insignia.

The victim, who is in his late twenties, received treatment at Royal Berkshire Hospital. He has since been discharged.

The offenders are described as an Asian man in his twenties and two black men, both tall and slim. One was wearing a black hoodie.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Timothy Lloyd said: “We are appealing for anyone who might have seen this incident or might have seen three men in a Red Renault Clio prior to the robbery.

“We would also like anyone who has seen a silver Vauxhall Insignia being driven away from the Kensington Road area of Reading.”

A 20-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released under investigation.
