A STAR driver has been hailed by a member of the public for giving customers the best experience possible.
Alan Jones, from Tadley, was praised by a passenger for greeting customers with a smile and making their journeys run smoothly.
The anonymous commuter said: “Alan always greets me and other passengers with a broad smile and warm welcome.
“He shows exactly what customer service is all about and promotes Reading Buses’ values of customer service in the best possible light.
“The journey is always smooth and runs to schedule, thanks to Alan.”
The 42 year-old driver has been awarded with the 'Star of the Month' award for his customer oriented work.
Alan has been with the company for just under 14 years and has always been praised for displaying the company's value of 'unrelenting customer focus' throughout his career.
Caroline Anscombe, Reading Buses HR Director said: “Alan is a fantastic example of how to give great customer service which is something on which we pride ourselves.
Ms Anscombe added that she was particularity please with the praise as Alan works out of the Newbury depot and has won them recognition.
She also said: “We employ a mystery traveller company to help improve our on-board experience and Alan always excels and is regularly given high scores.”
