IMAGES have been released after thieves made off with a bicycle from the entrance of a supermarket last month.

A CUBE bike was stolen from outside the Sainsbury's Local on Maiden Place, Earley, at around 5.15pm on Sunday, March 26.

Investigating officers at Loddon Valley police station have released CCTV images of two men in an attempt to trace the culprits.

They have also issued advice on how to keep your bike safe and prevent thefts.

Julie Susel, neighbourhood supervisor, said: “I would like to speak to the people shown in these CCTV images, as I believe they may have vital information that could help us with our investigation.

“If you recognise them or have any information please contact me via the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number 101.

“I would like to remind members of the public of the importance of using a good quality lock to secure their bicycles when leaving them unattended, even if it’s just for a few moments.

“It’s also a good idea to security mark the frame of your bike and register it with a scheme, such as Immobilise, which will help us reunite you with your property should it be stolen.”

If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
