A photographic club has teamed up with a Guides group to provide workshop evenings for pudding snappers.

Thatcham Photographic Club recently ran two evenings of camera workshops for the 3rd Thatcham Guides at their Moorside Community Centre headquarters.

The workshops focused on teaching the guides basic camera functions, as well as how, what and where to take photos.

The event ended with a competition to present a short story, using only four images. Eleanor Rich was voted the winner of the competition by her fellow guides, receiving a book prize.

Guide leader, Ann Dibble, said: “These have been special evenings for us and all guides thoroughly enjoyed learning about photography.

“We are initiating a guide badge which many of our girls will be working towards with a programme jointly created by us and Thatcham Photographic Club and we are extremely grateful to them for their time and their efforts.”
