REAL ale connoisseurs, loyal cider lovers and fair-weather fans of having a drink in the sunshine will be pleased to know the Reading Beer & Cider Festival is back.
Organised by the Campaign for Real Ale, the event will fill Christchurch Meadows with a huge beer hall style tent between April 27 to 30.
The festival moved to a pitch on the bank of Thames last year while work was being done to the lido in King's Meadow.
What originally began as a small indoor event at the Trade Union Club in Chatham Street has become a fixture of Berkshire’s drink based calendar, with the festival's 23rd annual outing to return to Christchurch.
Advance tickets range from £14.60 to £18.60 a day. Tickets guarantee festival-goers priority entry and tokens for two pints of beer.
More than 550 real ales from around the UK will be on show, including a range of regionally produced pints, ciders and perries.
