A MAN who burst into a Thatcham house and threatened the homeowners has been sentenced.

On December 17, 2016 Luke Delecia, 27, arrived at an address in Hartmead Road.

He forced his way into the home and made threats towards the occupants.

Later that day he was arrested and charged.

Investigating officer detective constable Andy Philpott, based at Newbury police station, said: “This was a frightening experience for the occupants of the house.

“This case shows how seriously Thames Valley Police take these incidents.

"We will carry out thorough investigations, and where possible look to make arrests and ensure offenders are brought before a court.”

Delecia, of Churchill Close, Whitley, admitted three counts of common assault and one count of criminal damage.

At Reading Magistrates’ Court on February 15 he was ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid community work and given an 18 day rehabilitation order.

He was also ordered to pay £250 compensation and given a restraining order to run until 15 February, 2018.
