No it's not right to increase it. We pay enough already and most of the time wonder what we are paying our council tax for. We get very little back. But as usual it's just increase after increase.

I would say yes, presuming that it is going on the right stuff. Of all things I might have to pay more for, I would care about council tax the least. Because local services need to be funded.

It is a well known fact that the government are making cuts, and I for one wouldn't want to see adult and social care take a hit, so if it is the only way to avoid such things from happening, then so be it.

With all the cuts affecting people in different ways to add an extra 5 per cent to council tax is shocking. It is bad enough that council tax is different prices in different areas. What's next? A rise in rent charges.

I don't think it is fair for people to pay more money, but then if the council need it, yes. They should increase it.
