LITERACY lovers can look forward to an explosive bonfire night alternative when esteemed children's author A.F. Harrold visits Waterstones Reading Broad Street on November 5.

Currently promoting the release of his new book, 'The Song From Somewhere Else', Harrold will be in the shop from 7.30pm signing copies.

When not leading the Poets' Cafe at South Street Arts Centre, the Reading based author is probably best known for the Fizzlebert Stump series, the story of a young boy who lives with a travelling circus.

In his latest offering Harrold has teamed up with illustrator Levi Pinfold to create a dark yet comic book about a bullied boy caught up in a strange musical mystery.

Cheryl Dibden, events coordinator at Waterstones Reading Broad Street, said: "We are counting down to an exciting bonfire night event with A.F. Harrold as he is such a popular local author."
