A MOTHER has paid tribute to her 'fun-loving' son after he died in a car crash on the A33.

Aaron White, died on Wednesday morning after a Citroen the 27-year-old was driving crashed into the central reservation at the junction with Rose Kiln Lane.

His mother said: "My heart is broken and I haven’t got my rock to help me through the good and bad times.

"I feel numb, I don’t know what to do without my boy, I need a hug."

"Aaron was a fun loving man, who always came in with a smile on his face.

"He would always answer the phone saying 'Hello Barry, where's Larry, he's with Harry!' and you would hear him laughing.

"Aaron was a cheeky chappy, well known for his nickname ‘Otto’.

"He was a big Manchester United fan, who loved to have a kick about with his mates.

"He would light up the darkest days with his smile and banter.

"Aaron was a much loved son, brother and uncle, who always looked out for his family.

"Aaron, your dad and grandad will look after you for me, but remember it’s only temporary.

"Aaron will be sadly missed by all that knew him, RIP beautiful."

Police are investigating the crash which closed the dual carriageway and say the Citroen may have been taken from outside a home on Waterside Gardens earlier the same day.

A few minutes before the collision the Citroen was seen in Symeon Place, Caversham with two occupants.

Andrew Rose, who lives on the road, said he was woken by a car tearing into the quiet residential street.

"About 5am I heard a car come into Symeon Place and screech to a halt," he said.

"I heard it reverse before pulling out onto St Peter's Hill with lots of wheel spin.

"Obviously it either cut someone up or was racing I heard them honking all the way down into Caversham."

The driver of a BMW also involved in the crash escaped unhurt.

Superintendent Bhupinder Rai, who is overseeing the investigations said: "A man in his twenties sadly died as a result of road traffic collision and our thoughts are with his family.

"We are currently investigating the circumstances leading up to his death. We are concentrating our investigation at Waterside Gardens and also at Symeon Place.

"We would urge anyone who may have witnessed a Citroen being driven at those locations or anyone who has any information about this incident to contact us as a matter of urgency.

"We are particularly keen to speak to the person who had been a passenger in the vehicle between Waterside Gardens and Symeon Place as they may have information vital to this investigation."

Anyone with any information about this case is asked to contact on 101 quoting URN 124 21/9.
