FRIENDSHIP group Reading Oddfellows gave an energetic welcome to guests at their Exercise Together class on Thursday, September 08.

The Oxford Road classes were held as part of their Friendship Month celebrations throughout September.

Debbie Jex, district secretary said: “Our regular Exercise Together class gives both your body and social life a good shake-up – it’s a great place to meet new friends. We all enjoyed a lively morning of light aerobics and welcomed some new faces to our friendly group.”

The society runs regular, inexpensive social events including art and exercise classes as well a community choir across Reading, Pangbourne, Three Mile Cross, Thatcham, Henley-on-Thames, Farnham, Maidenhead and Camberley. They also run day trips and short breaks further afield.

“This Friendship Month we’ve pulled out all the stops," added Debbie.

"We’ve several Afternoon Tea Parties and a River Cruise in Henley on Tuesday, 20 September – everyone’s welcome to come along."

The Oddfellows is also offering a chance to win a luxury afternoon tea for two and £100 spending money in a free prize draw on its campaign website at www.friendshipmonth.com
